Aiden was off duty. It was about 12 PM, and he decided to take a trip down to the lake, and think about life. He saw people walking all around him. They seemed to be so happy. It must be the calm before the storm, because with the Reaping coming soon, and the new things the Capitol's adding, they shouldn't be running around laughing, they should be preparing for battle.

Lilith was training. She knew the reaping was close, and she wouldn't just sit and wait to die, if she was ever reaped. She would be ready to kill, or be killed. She grew up to feel no remorse. To be ruthless, and not allow anyone to understand what she was really thinking. Strategy was all that mattered. And quickness. She had to be as quick as a snake, and as quite as a shadow.

She had her bow and arrows with her, hunting so she could sell. She was not good at fishing, so she let that to the others, while she practised her martial arts, her shooting, and how to hold her breath for quite a while. She was fast, and deadly. And she never missed.
Taking a deep breath, she drew back her arrow and aimed, ready to release it when she saw someone by the lake. She recognised him as one of the Peacekeepers and smirked, before drawing her arrow back once again, and aiming for the bird that would be flying by him.
She released her arrow, pinning the dead, now, bird to the tree, just before he was ready to pass by.

"You should be more careful."
She hid in the bushes before he could see her, but she had a very nice view of him.

Aiden saw something out of the corner of his eye as he was walking. He looked over, and saw a shadow. He really didn't pay much attention. A lot of people were scared of him because he was a Peacekeeper, but he wasn't really mean at all, unlike some of the others. Besides, this was 4. They mostly can do whatever they want and the Capitol doesn't care much at all. But then he saw a bird nailed into a tree by an arrow. He didn't know that these kids in 4 liked bows and arrows, what happened to spears and tridents? Usually those were their favorite weapons in the Games, and in training.

He approached what it looked to be a young girl, "Hello there," he said with a smile.

When she saw him move towards her, she smirked, knowing she had his attention and got out of her hiding place, drawing another arrow.
"You should be more careful around here. You could be killed."
Lilith decided to give him a show, so she cracked her neck and jumped, doing a twist in the air and landing on a stone in the lake, releasing her arrow right away, without even aiming.

She saw a goose fall right after and she smirked. "Bullseye."
She jumped from stone to stone, grabbing the goose and going back to the Peacekeeper with a smile.
"That will give me enough for the week."

He smiled. "Be careful how you shoot that arrow. You know it's usually the quiet ones that win, or at least make it the farthest. Try not to be so loud." he said. This girl was pretty interesting. She obviously knew what she was doing for the most part. But what he said was true, the person hiding in the trees doing sneak attacks from District Eleven could be as easily dangerous as a huge bulky career with a big mouth from District One. "What's your name?" he asked.

Lilith raised an eyebrow at him. She rarely ever got advice, especially from Peacekeepers. "It's not only about being as quiet as a shadow... It's about being as fast as a snake, as well. I think I have a lot more chances than people think. I am not over ambitious...," she said and looked into the sky."I just know what I am."

She threw the goose next to a tree and left her bow and arrows next to it. Plopping down, she cracked her neck once again and looked up at the man.
"Lilith."

Aiden nodded his head. "I agree. How old are you? You seem pretty mature. Most kids your age are acting fools around this time of day." he stated. He had never met a child like her. Well actually he never talked to the kids at all, until now. "I'm usually Mr.Brooke. But you can call me Aiden for the time being." he stated.

Lilith stared at him with no emotion in her blue eyes. "My age doesn't matter. It's obvious I am young. But being mature has become my life. Most kids my age are fools. But I know what's waiting for me out there. And I want to be prepared. I am no fool. I am not like them..,"
Lilith got up and went over to the Lake, washing off her hands and drinking some water.

She glanced at him and shook her head. "I will call you what I want to call you. No need to tell me names. It makes no difference to me."
She wiped her hands at her pants and pulled her hair up, shrugging at him.
"What are you doing here?"

She had a little bit of an attitude, but it was fine. He knew she wasn't trying to be of any disrespect. So he thinks at least. "You are not like them," he said. He leaned onto the tree and continued the conversation. "Okay, but I might not answer." he replied. "And I'm just taking a stroll is all."

"No, I am not. I am mature, strong, intelligent, and better than them. I've been through too much..."
Lilith gave him a look, but she really didn't show anything. Her eyes were empty, not giving away any feelings.

"Fine, fine. I will call you Aiden. And, taking a stroll? Don't you have something better to do than taking strolls? You are supposed to "make peace", right? Well, I don't see any peace now."
She shrugged and picked on some grass, not having anything to do.

Aiden shook his head and looked at the girl. You could tell that she had a lot going on in her life, or at least today. She seemed like the kind of career that had to win because she had to for herself not for the Capitol, not for District Four, but she had to prove something to herself. "Just like you're different from the other kids your age Lilith, I'm different from the other Peacekeepers." he said, "Very different. In ways you can't imagine."

Lilith laughed and shot him a look. Again, her eyes were empty. She had found a way of keeping everyone else outside. Her feelings were for her, and her alone. No one could ever read her.
"Well, that won't help me win, if I am reaped, will it?"

She snorted and looked up into the sky. Yes, she had an attitude. No, it was not out of disrespect. It was just the way she was, and people learned to put up with her.

He thought for a second. She seems very closed in. She needs to let everything fall out, sometimes, that's a good thing. To show feelings. It's always good to say what's on your mind, even when it may not sound right to everyone else, as long as it sounds right to you. "Yes," he said. "Even if they aren't afraid of you, they know that you could be a little different, and may try to use you to their advantage, but it's your advantage because you know that they know you're different, but not how different." He wanted to help her out. "Look." he said. "I know that you need to talk, that's why I'm still here. I could be doing anything else with my time. I want to help you." he said.
